I’ve always been curious about the inner world, how our thoughts, feelings, and stories shape the way we move through life. My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t a straight line. After college, I worked in film, music, and tech, bouncing around as I tried to figure out what I wanted to do. What I discovered along the way was a deep interest in people, how we grow, what we fear, and how we find meaning when life feels uncertain. That curiosity eventually led me to this work.
I’m a licensed psychotherapist based in Santa Monica, California, specializing in the treatment of OCD and anxiety. My approach blends evidence-based therapies, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices, with a grounded, collaborative, and deeply human style. I see therapy as more than symptom reduction; it’s about building psychological flexibility, strengthening self-compassion, and creating a life guided by what matters most.
Mindfulness is at the heart of how I live and practice. I’ve spent more than 15 years studying and practicing meditation, completed advanced teacher training with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, and attended numerous silent Vipassana retreats at dedicated retreat centers. These experiences continue to shape my work, helping clients develop a more skillful relationship with their thoughts and emotions, build tolerance for uncertainty, and cultivate a deeper sense of presence and compassion.
Surfing is another thread woven through my life and worldview. Growing up on the California coast, I’ve spent countless hours in the ocean, and the lessons it teaches are remarkably similar to those in therapy. You can’t control the waves, but you can learn how to ride them with patience, awareness, and adaptability. That same principle underlies my approach to healing: learning to work with life’s conditions rather than against them.
My clinical training includes specialized work in OCD and anxiety treatment at Anxiety Therapy LA, advanced training in ACT through Praxis, and extensive training in the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). I also gained experience in dual-diagnosis treatment at UCLA’s Intensive Outpatient Program. These experiences, along with years of working with highly sensitive, thoughtful, and insightful clients, continue to deepen and refine my approach.
Clients often describe me as calm, nonjudgmental, and thoughtful. I work best with people who are stuck in loops of overthinking, self-doubt, or emotional suppression, people who want to understand themselves on a deeper level and move toward a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and alive. Together, we’ll clarify your values, soften your inner critic, and build the skills and mindset needed to navigate life’s inevitable waves with confidence and compassion.
My work is grounded in the belief that healing comes from greater intimacy with our own experience, not by avoiding pain, but by learning to hold it wisely.
