Psychotherapy

I specialize in working with clients struggling with anxiety disorders and OCD using evidence-based therapies—Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. My goal is to help clients build resilience and change their relationship with anxiety.

These approaches target the core mechanism behind anxiety and OCD: avoidance. Through planned exposure and support, clients learn to move toward discomfort rather than away from it. In doing so, they discover that anxiety is not dangerous and they are capable of facing thoughts, feelings, and sensations without engaging in compulsion or avoidance. When clients learn to ignore the amygdala’s false alarms, anxiety becomes less interesting, less intense, and sympathetic arousal reduces naturally.

I also integrate the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), a somatically based approach that helps clients regulate the nervous system after distressing experiences. This model teaches clients body-based tools to create a sense of safety, supporting long-term healing and emotional resilience.

Anxiety and OCD can feel overwhelming and exhausting, but they don’t have to control your life. If you are interested in scheduling a free 20-minute consultation, please reach out.
